Principal Investigator
Zahide Pamir, PhD
Zahide Pamir is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience Graduate Program at Bilkent University. She completed her doctorate studies in Neuroscience at Bilkent University. Dr. Pamir received her BA degree in Psychology from Bilkent University and her MS degree in Cognitive Science from the Middle East Technical University. Before joining Bilkent, she worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Schepens Eye Research Institute of Mass Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School.

Graduate Students
Hilal Çimen
Hilal received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in biology from METU. She’s continuing her education as a MSc. Neuroscience student at Bilkent University. Currently, she’s interested in visuo-spatial perception and neuroplasticity. In the future, she would like to receive a Ph.D. in neuroscience and pursue a career in academia.

Nisanur Bilgiç
Nisanur was born on April 1, 1999, in Istanbul. She completed her primary and secondary education in Ankara. She started studying psychology at Başkent University in 2018 and is currently doing her master’s degree at Bilkent University. She is working on sensation and perception during her master’s degree. In the future, she plans to study language, cognition and AI.
Alara Akcan
Alara has completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Middle East Technical University and is now pursuing a Master’s in Neuroscience at Bilkent University. Her research interests revolve around cortical reorganization after transient visual deprivation. After completing her degree, she aims to pursue a Ph.D. in neuroscience and extend her studies further in the field of neuroplasticity.
Undergraduate Students
Elif Sude Bayram
Elif is a 4th year undergraduate majoring in Psychology at Bilkent
University. She is interested in cognitive neuroscience, particularly in
visual perception, and wants to further develop her understanding of
computational neuroscience. She plans to pursue an MSc in neuroscience.
Zeynep Eylül Öztürk
Eylül is a 3rd year Psychology undergraduate at Bilkent University. She is interested in clinical neuropsychology and wants to study perceptual disturbances in psychological disorders after graduation. She plans to pursue an MSc in neuroscience.
Can Dora Akcan
Dora is a third-year Psychology undergraduate student at Bilkent University with a strong interest in visual neuroscience. He aims to develop his understanding of both functional and molecular methodologies in the future. He aims to pursue an MSc in neuroscience.
